The Florence Nightingale Awards was instituted in the year 2000 by the Anglo-Indian Unity Centre for
for nursing professionals in the State of Karnataka in recognition of their selfless
services to society. This award is for the nurces working in governmental or non-governmental organisations
and also nursing schools or colleges. The various categories of awards include BSc Nursing, General Nursing,
Midwifery, Staff Nurse, Principal or Lecturer of Nursing Institutions, Nursing Superintendent and
award for nurse from the Anglo-Indian Community. This awards is now given by the Anglo Indian Unity Centre in
association with the Department of Health anf Family Welfare of the State government.
